urgent vs important

Almost a month ago I was listening to my friends doing a radio show and they were interviewing a guy about work-life balance. I forget what the persons name was but he made a comment along the lines of
> what might be urgent might not be what is important

This really struck me as another great filter for my to-do list both at work and at home and I’m going to be trying to apply it over the coming months. I’ll see if I can remember to feedback on its effect.
