Dumb QOTD

Heard the dumbest thing on the news this morning. I was up at 6 with Grace so ended up watching Breakfast on BBC1 and they were covering the story about sperm donors to lose anonymity. They had a quick interview with this woman from some organisation to-do with the collection of donations during which she said something along the lines of “We’re not bothered about losing the people who currently do it” … like students (who would want anonymity) … “We’re going to try and convince the people who give blood as their the kind of people who like to help others”

What? Imagine the scene… You’re giving blood and some nurse comes up to you and says “Would you like to father a child while you’re here sir?”

And I was thinking the other day about starting to give blood…
